Who are we looking for?
In response to steady growth within our Water/Wastewater business, our team group in Bowie, MD is looking to bring onboard a motivated Senior Project Manager to help with the continued development and growth of GHD's Water Business in the DC Metro Area. You will also provide technical leadership and delivery of major water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects for our clients throughout the Washington D.C. Metro Area.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
  • Perform business development, sales, and marketing, with a specific focus on large clients in Washington D.C. and surrounding metropolitan area
  • Provide leadership on projects related to master plans, sewer system evaluations and assessment, pump station design, pipeline design, and treatment plant upgrades
  • Perform and lead the technical and production work of the team, administering contractual aspects of the project, and acting as primary contact for client
  • Establish project delivery strategy and develop job management plan, QA plan, securing resources, establishing work briefs and budgets
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules for existing projects
  • Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firms QA/QC requirements participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers
  • Direct team of subject area leads for the development of design and construction documents
  • Collaborate with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers within and outside the Region on work sharing and business development
What you will bring to the Team:
  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (in Washington DC and/or Maryland a plus)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience (more than 20 years a plus) in planning, design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and/or treatment facilities with at least 5 years serving clients in Washington D.C. and surrounding area.
  • Strong business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills. Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines
