Description
We are looking for an experienced salesperson to conduct initial meetings with potential new clients to help them understand the legal services available at our firm. A primary function of this role is to successfully onboard new clients for the legal team. Strong candidates for this role will fit our culture of camaraderie, teamwork, cooperation and professionalism. To be successful in this role, the following are essential: great listening skills, ability to keep detailed records, and a passion for helping solve problems for clients. Although an ideal applicant will come to our firm with remarkable sales experience and skill, they will also possess enthusiasm to learn and openness to feedback. Experience in a law firm is a plus but not required.
Compensation: Base salary earn up to $130,000 or more total compensation based on performance
Responsibilities
•Conduct in-depth meetings with Prospective New Clients for the purpose of introducing firm services and onboarding new clients.
•Stay in contact with prospective new clients who do not appear for their consult and those who do not sign up after their initial consultation.
•Keep detailed records about the number of prospective new clients that contact the Firm, the number that is scheduled for an initial consultation, come in or have a phone or Zoom meeting for initial consultations, the number that engages the firm, and other associated metrics (referral source, average case value, etc.).
•Actively engage in dialogue with Marketing Director regarding the quality and volume of the leads, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement based on "front lines" experience.
•In accordance with ethical rules governing lawyers in California, the salesperson will not provide legal advice, quote a fee, or enter into an engagement agreement without communication with the attorneys in charge. The salesperson will also not reach out to potential clients without first contacting the Firm.
Qualifications
•Demonstrate a record of success in sales of products or services, luxury or high-end products and services are preferred.
•Experienced with average sales of $18,000 and annual sales of 2 million, comfortable with higher value sales.
•A proven track record using a collaborative sales approach.
•Education and/or work experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
•Experience in tracking data using technology.
•Knowledge of the legal industry is an asset.
•Experience with CRM, particularly reporting, is required.
