Area Description:

As the Joint Trench manager, your role encompasses overseeing the complete development of the Joint Trench Greenfield program at GFiber, from its inception to its successful completion. You will play a pivotal role in driving cross-product and cross-team initiatives, collaborating closely with diverse team members and external partners to improve and optimize our projects. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to introduce state-of-the-art technologies to diverse markets and communities, while actively leading the implementation of complex projects that expand internet access. Additionally, you will be responsible for negotiating joint trench contracts with construction vendors. Role Description:

As the Outside Plant (OSP) Joint Trench Greenfield Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the entire division of Single Family Joint Trench Greenfield Construction. Collaborating closely with the OSP Construction Lead, your main focus will be to ensure the smooth and effective execution of joint trench operations. By optimizing vendor and production management, you will actively enhance the overall customer experience. Your key role will involve spearheading documentation, testing, acceptance, last-mile, and installation operations, all aimed at swiftly bringing GFiber services to customers and building the program to replicate in other markets. Your dedication to efficiency and customer satisfaction will be instrumental in rapidly expanding GFiber's reach.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the end-to-end Joint Trench Greenfield Program for GFiber.
  • Establish and implement efficient processes, documenting and ensuring adherence to all aspects of the Joint Trench Greenfield Program.
  • Cultivate and maintain essential contacts, processes, and documentation related to developers, municipal and utility relationships, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure production meets or exceeds deadlines, proactively adjusting staffing and schedules in the field to align with priorities.
  • Offer expert insights and support on matters concerning the Joint Trench Greenfield Program.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between GFiber and Joint Trench partners, handling permits, inspections, rebuilds, NESC and/or RUS interpretation, and GFiber policies/standards.
  • Negotiate and foster relationships with telecommunications providers, power companies, cable providers, and joint trench contractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of hands-on experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction
  • Experience in building and maintaining telecommunication infrastructure, including FTTH/X, network operations, and outside plant (OSP) projects
  • Experience with CAD, GIS systems, and FTTH records/As-builts
  • Experience working with Telecommunications Providers, Power Companies, or Cable Providers
  • Experience in SFU Greenfield designs and builds

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or equivalent work experience
    10 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction.
    Experience managing projects involving team members from multiple disciplines.
  • Experience working with vendors and management

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000-$151,000 bonus equity benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
