GENERAL SUMMARY:

Production Line Worker This is an hourly position that reports to the Production Supervisor. This is a 3rd shift position.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

• Performs general production line assembly work.
• Packs cases of specific counts of product and palletizes to specific pallet patterns.
• Places containers on conveyor, packs finished product in cases, and palletizer.
• Visually inspect product for quality requirements such as code dates, labeling/printing, damage, or any other defect.
• Perform quality checks for fill weights, leak detection, and metal detection (CCP)
• Assist in film roll changes.
• Notify supervisor of any discrepancies or quality issues
• Assure that SOP’s, GMP’s and safety rules are strictly followed,
• Complete production reports as needed.
• Responsible for ERP Transactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of experience
• Must be able to communicate: Basic read, write, speak English.
• Must be able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 Lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position.
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to collaborate and communicate with others team member (prepper/material handler/QC technician/operators) and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Ability to use a calculator and perform basic calculations accurately.
• Detail oriented work habits
• Other duties as assigned.

DESIRED:

• Knowledge of general manufacturing environment and practices.
• Knowledge of Food Plant GMP’s and SOP’s.
• Food industry a plus
