Job description
Getz Fire Equipment has a position open for a full-time route sales/service technician in the LaSalle/Peru, IL area. Position requires assertive individual for sales, service, and repair of portable fire extinguishers and pre-engineered fire suppression systems. Company vehicle, training, benefits and competitive wages and benefits provided. After hire Illinois portable extinguisher and Illinois pre-engineered system license must be attained. Prior experience a plus. Candidates should have strong mechanical ability, clean driving record, prior route experience, and willingness to work on construction job sites and in new construction environments. Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment.
- Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Piping installation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment.
- Ability to handle physical workload and climb ladders.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Good driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check.

- Starting pay scale ranges from $20-$25 per hour.
