Getz Fire Equipment is a leader in the life and safety industry with headquarters in Peoria, Illinois. We are seeking a self-motivated Restaurant Fire Suppression Service Technician to join our team! Pay $20-$25 an hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Major Job Duties:

Install new systems and perform service work for kitchen hood suppression systems.

Prepare activity reports outlining all actions/operations performed to be completed daily.

Complete certification of installation, system drawing, and materials used sheet for every job.

Conduct authorizing and final testing with AHJ.

Respond to emergency service calls.

Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Driver’s License and clean driving record required.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and climb ladders.

Must be able to comply with Getz Fire Equipment’s Drug and Alcohol included abstaining from marijuana due to this position being safety sensitive.

Work efficiently with minimal supervision and follow safety policies.

2 years’ experience working on kitchen hood suppression systems preferred.

Experience with quoting repairs and installations preferred.

Fire extinguisher inspections and service experience are a plus.

Working knowledge of NFPA 17A and NFPA 96 preferred.

Certifications in kitchen fire suppression systems installation and service preferred.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, familiarity with tools.

Must be able to work cooperatively and maintain a positive and professional manner.

Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Maintain confidentiality in performance of all duties.
