Position OverviewAre you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance in lending practices? We're seeking an enthusiastic SBA Quality Control Specialist to join our dynamic Pre and Post-Closing team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing risk within our portfolio and supporting government loan programs through a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of SBA pre and post-closing loans to ensure accuracy and compliance with Bank Policy and SBA SOP Guidelines.
  • Review various documentation including credit memos, leases, agreements, financial data, insurance, and more, ensuring completeness and adherence to guidelines.
  • Analyze third-party reports and searches such as appraisals, valuations, and credit reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with Credit, Attorneys, and Closing Departments to address any missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present findings to ensure resolution of any deficiencies.
  • Stay updated on policy, procedure, and SBA SOP changes to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in banking, credit, finance, or lending.
  • Previous experience in SBA 7(a) lending is essential.
  • Familiarity with SBA compliance functions is advantageous.
  • Experience with construction and acquisition loan structures is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Physical RequirementsThis position primarily entails typical office work, with no significant physical demands beyond standard office activities.
