OverviewJoin us as a Remote Financial Aid Advisor and become an integral part of our mission to guide students and their families through the financial aid process. Your role will involve building strong connections with students and families, providing clear and accurate information, offering effective solutions, and maintaining consistent communication. We're seeking candidates who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, excel in attention to detail and follow-up, and communicate with warmth and empathy.
As a Financial Aid Advisor, you may also have the opportunity to assist prospective students in preparing for their educational journey.
Responsibilities
  • Support students throughout their journey, ensuring they secure financial aid and other sources of assistance, and that all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted.
  • Prioritize delivering exceptional experiences for students in every interaction, demonstrating compassion, composure, and providing compelling reasons to take the next step within appropriate timeframes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial aid-related tasks, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educate students on their rights and responsibilities as federal aid borrowers, assist with FAFSA completion, explain loan acceptance/denial, and explore scholarships and alternative funding options to address financing concerns.
  • Manage a designated workload of students efficiently, utilizing various tools and processes.

  • Competitive pay ranging from $21 to $22.50 per hour.
  • Fully remote, full-time role with benefits. A laptop will be provided.

QualificationsEducation / Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED required; some college courses preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience advising students and families on financial aid.
  • Knowledge of Title IV funding is essential.
  • Familiarity with COD, NSLDS, CPS, and the FAFSA application process is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CampusVue and Regent would be advantageous.
Skills
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Strong customer service and professional communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities, with the capacity to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
