About The RoleAs a Manufacturing Solutions Consultant, you will collaborate closely with small and mid-sized manufacturers (SMMs) to share expertise and optimize manufacturing processes, with a focus on technologies like Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Quality principles. Your responsibilities will include conducting technology audits at client sites, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering training sessions. You'll also play a pivotal role in building partnerships, identifying supporting technologies, and facilitating outreach efforts to better serve our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Identify industry trends, drivers, and technology gaps across Michigan manufacturers.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in relevant areas of expertise.
Develop and deliver training classes tailored to clients.
Identify viable market opportunities.
Provide coaching, training, and facilitation at both executive and shop-floor levels.
Support sales efforts through compelling presentations and relationship-building.
Assess manufacturing operations and devise practical solutions for enhancement.
Apply business strategies such as strategic planning, lean manufacturing, quality management, and supply chain optimization to support our clients.
About YouMinimum of 10 years of experience in quality management roles within the manufacturing industry.
Lead assessor certification for any Quality Management System (QMS).
Proficiency in core quality tools like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Problem Solving methodologies.
Thorough understanding of ISO quality management systems and certification standards.
EQ certified auditor (preferred).
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification, with experience in leading projects.
Proven track record of building partnerships and fostering customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective workshops and training sessions.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing new service offerings.
Ability to manage multiple service delivery projects independently.
Background in training and/or consulting practices.
Passion for Industry/Manufacturing 4.0 is a plus.
Proficiency in software tools such as Visio, 3D CAD/CAM, and ERP systems.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite and cloud applications.
