You'll have the opportunity to share your expertise with students, collaborate, and contribute to the development of dynamic courses. This off-campus remote position offers flexibility while ensuring a commitment to student support during evenings and weekends.
Essential Job TasksYou will:
Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students in your area of expertise.
Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere by posting a video introduction and maintaining regular communication with students to support their engagement and success.
Offer personalized support to students, including proactive outreach to those who may need additional assistance.
Engage in course activities a minimum of four days per week, fostering discussion boards and conducting live lectures to enhance student learning.
Provide timely feedback on student submissions, offering valuable insights aligned with course objectives.
Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with colleagues to ensure course materials remain current and rigorous.
Address academic integrity concerns and grade challenges promptly and professionally.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of best practices.
QualificationsSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:
A passion for teaching and supporting student success.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to timely task completion.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
A terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or a closely related field, or equivalent experience (see full qualifications for details).
Equipment RequiredExperience teaching at the college/university level is preferred.
Instructors Will Need Access ToPersonal computer, telephone, and printer with scanner capabilities.
Software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Blackboard, and internal database systems.
Reliable internet connection with sufficient speed to support job responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
