ResponsibilitiesCraft and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student with visual impairments.
Deliver virtual instruction and assistance in core academic subjects, encompassing Braille literacy, orientation and mobility, adaptive technology, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with students, families, and educational colleagues to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
Employ innovative teaching techniques and assistive technologies to foster student engagement and enhance learning outcomes.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to track student progress and guide instructional decision-making.
QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or a related field.
Valid state certification/licensure in Colorado as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
Previous experience working with students with visual impairments in a school or educational setting.
Proficiency in Braille literacy and familiarity with adaptive technology tools for individuals with visual impairments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to excel in a remote team environment.
Dedication to inclusive education and advocacy for the needs of students with disabilities.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and access to necessary technology for remote teaching.
