Job Description

JOB SUMMARY :

Coordinates daily Pack Room activities while formulating a daily shift schedule for all packers including any re-selection work.

Assists the Production Shift Supervisor to ensure that all job changes are executed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures that Cold End staffing is sufficient to run all available lines.

Works with the Quality Systems Manager to understand the correct priorities for re-selection and / or any special project work is completed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Coordinate daily line coverage, re-selection, and special project work.
• Notify Production Shift Supervisor of upcoming job changes and coordinate line purge in the pack room.
• Assign Pack Room personnel to assist with problem lines and / or 100% inspection.
• Reads, understands and follows blueprints and written specifications.
• Coordinate breaks for Packer Room personnel.
• Communicate process issues to Manufacturing Manager, Production Shift Foreman and Quality Systems Manager.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Performs necessary paperwork.
• Coordinates necessary responsibilities between packers, quality and operators.
• Cooperate with Manufacturing Manager and Production Shift Supervisor.
• Assists in the classroom and pack room training of all pack room personnel.
• Ensure everyone in the Pack Room (regardless of title) adheres to GMP and Safety requirements.
• Performs other duties when required or requested.
• Supports QMS and GMS initiatives

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior on the job experience working in a Pack Room environment.
• Must have experience dealing with employees in a supervisory capacity.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to understand, read, speak and write in English
• Communicates and delegates assignments clearly and concise
• Good organization skills
