Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. The College is a dynamic learning organization that serves as a Germanna regional leader and preferred partner where quality learning experiences enable students to participate effectively in the social, economic, political, intellectual, and cultural life of their communities. Germanna Community College is centrally located in Fredericksburg, VA between Washington D.C. and Richmond and between the Blue Ridge mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. Germanna Community College is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Enrollment Services. The Associate Director of Enrollment Services will lead strategic planning and initiatives aimed at enhancing student enrollment and retention. Ensuring that the Enrollment Services staff deliver exceptional customer service, effectively addressing both in-person and remote inquiries from the public about the college’s range of services, credit, and non-credit programs. The Associate Director will develop outreach efforts, programs, and services that uphold the college’s commitment to providing affordable educational opportunities and workforce development across our service area. The Associate Director of Enrollment Services will supervise the Assistant Registrars and Workforce Development Advisors, ensuring that Registrar operations adhere to all relevant policies and procedures. This role is crucial for upholding the college’s dedication to academic excellence and student achievement. The position requires an on-campus presence for delivering services, while also offering the flexibility for remote work to fulfill various tasks. This balance ensures both effective engagement with the campus community and the adaptability to perform administrative duties efficiently.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic enrollment and retention plans in alignment with the college’s mission and vision of affordable access to educational opportunities and workforce development for all the constituents of our service area.
  • Oversee office scheduling for enrollment services staff members.
  • Create and keep training manuals for current and future services.
  • Serve as point of contact to resolve issues sent by Enrollment Services staff.
  • Serve as point of contact for Enrollment Services’ participation in recruiting, orientation, and other College-wide activities.
  • Help to set annual goals for Enrollment Services, including budget planning, and analyze enrollment trends and data to improve progress towards enrollment goals.
  • Provide reports as requested to the Leadership Council ensuring Enrollment Services are running as efficiently in compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments (Counseling, Financial Aid, Office of Accessibility Resources, Testing Services, Business Office, Tutoring Services, Workforce, along with division Deans) to improve student services and satisfaction.
  • Attend monthly meetings in various departments to ensure Enrollment Services has current information.
  • Serve as liaison with all College departments to obtain up to date information on all college programs and services. Represent Enrollment services on College Leadership Council, Enrollment Management Taskforce Committee, and other college-wide committees as requested.

  • Experience in recruitment, admissions counseling, academic advising, or marketing to expand the college’s visibility and attract diverse student populations.
