Gerelco Electrical Contractors is Hiring an Equipment Operator - Traffic Division Near Port Saint Lucie, FL

Summary/Objective
Gerelco Traffic Controls - we are specialty contractors that provide installation services for highway lighting, signage, traffic signal intersections, and complete (ITS) Intelligent Traffic Systems. We have a drill shaft crew able to create the foundations and install any sign from a single sign post to a large cantilever structure.
Essential Functions
  • Operate heavy equipment, bucket trucks, and crane rigs of various sizes on various job sites and roadways.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Inform Fleet Manager of any defects or needed repairs. Clean equipment
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Control traffic at worksite by guiding traffic through work areas as needed.
  • Comply with OSHA guidelines and company policies and procedures to ensure equipment and crew safety.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work overhead, climb ladders, operate hand and power tools. Some work may be at heights up to and exceeding 90 feet and may be in confined spaces. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required Education and Experience
  • Must have and maintain a clean and valid CDLL driver’s license.
  • Must have 3 years of prior experience operating equipment such as bucket trucks, loaders and drill rigs
