Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Lead the applications team in the design, development, and implementation of software applications within the shop floor environment. Develop and maintain an applications roadmap in alignment with the business strategy and IT architecture. Manage the entire lifecycle of applications, from requirement analysis to deployment and user support. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications. Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions. Oversee the selection and management of technology vendors and contractors. Manage application development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Implement best practices in software development, including Agile and DevOps methodologies. Develop and manage the applications budget, including capital and operational expenses. Ensure compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity policies and regulations. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Industry experience within the automotive, manufacturing or distribution environments is a HUGE plus. Must have familiarity with shop floor systems and software (parts ordering, WMS, Repair software, Auto Management Software, etc.) Strong project management skills and experience managing complex IT projects. Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models. Knowledge of application security practices and data protection laws. Must be willing to travel on a quarterly basis to sites in the US Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
