Overview:
Geotechnology, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
The Laboratory Technician will perform routine soils laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager. The possibility of data reduction and boring log preparation exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs soil, aggregate, and asphalt testing such as Atterberg limits, moisture content, grain size analysis, unconfined compressive strength tests, and Marshall Properties
• Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order.
• Assists in logging, storage, and disposal of soil samples.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Good Oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities.
• Ability to effectively use computers
• Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience.
• Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
• Required to stand for long periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
