Financial Analyst reports to the Assistant Controller. The Financial Analyst is

responsible for tracking a company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. Financial Analyst forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a Sales Analysis report based on customers, volume, and products
• Work on customer pricing, including the process of standard form for customer reporting around future and hedging
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts by providing an analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
• Maintain a Commodities report based on milk and cream market actuals and present data on futures
• Forward facing with customers regarding collections, pricing, and other customer requests
• Analysis and commentary on DSO and collection trends
• Daily cash posting with reconciliation to the general ledger
• Support AR specialist with customer billing and statement requests
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Assist in Month-end close procedures

• Must be highly skilled in use and create Excel reports
• Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as Accounts Payable. SAP experience preferred, Intermediate Excel experience, and knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Franklin Foods standards.
