This position uses technical management and GIS skills to deliver highly available geospatial systems, provide technical leadership, and support our clients with innovative and technically sound solutions. The System Administrator is responsible for requirements gathering, capacity planning, system design, implementation, and compliance. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a System Administrator, which include:

• Implementing proven IT/GIS strategies for platform architecture
• Experience with high availability systems and troubleshooting platform issues
• Designing architecture solutions to support multiple systems feeding data into ArcGIS Enterprise
• Understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise scaling and implications
• Designing architecture solutions to administer and support ArcGIS Desktop
• Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework and experience managing authorization packages within MCCAST
• Vulnerability scanning/remediation and application/device/OS hardening ability
• Exposure to database management and programming languages 
• Experience with Virtual Machine infrastructure and management

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:

• Bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Information Systems, Information Science, GIS, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 5 years of experience in direct support of DoD system administration 
• Security CE Certifications 
• DoD Clearance
• ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/Enterprise 10.8.1 or greater administration experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
• Experience with enterprise geodatabase management
• Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the potential candidate:

• Windows 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2016 and/or 2019 Server experience
• VMware vSphere 7.0 or greater clustered environment experience 
• Certifiable networking experience, to include L2, L3, and iSCSI storage area networking.
• Information Assurance (IA) experience
• USMC Certification and Accreditation Support
• Application of required cybersecurity controls via the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Esri ArcGIS Pro administration experience
• Experience using REST and web service endpoints to create secure web applications.
• Experience with Python, T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL, or other RDBMS tools
• EMC Storage Area Network Technologies experience
• Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) experience and/or DoD IT enterprise systems with network architecture experience.
• USMC IT systems and network architecture experience
• Monitoring Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) messages to remediate identified vulnerabilities via STIG and application-based hot fixes and firmware updates.
• Understanding and applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Knowledge of IA Validation procedures
• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 or greater experience
• Excellent writing and communication skills
