Thisishourlypaidwork, thatprovides structuredcognitivebehavioraland / orlife-skillsgroup counselingsessions,documentsallprogrammaticactivities,andperformsavariety of administrativedutiesdesignedto facilitatejuvenilerehabilitation andensureasafe andsecure environmentatayouth detentionorlong-termfacilities.

Thisposition ispart-timeandrequires lessthan 30 hoursperweek andisnoteligibleforbenefits.

N O TE : Thisisa 29 hourperweek position. JOBSPECIFIC DUTIES :

• Supportofthedelivery ofallprograms&casemanagementservices.
• Workswith programstaffto ensurethatservicesareinkeeping with bestpracticesand departmentalpolicy.
• Underlimited direction, provides structuredcognitivebehavioraland / orlife-skillsgroup counselingsessions,documentsallprogrammaticactivities,andperformsavariety of administrativedutiesdesignedto facilitatejuvenilerehabilitation andensureasafe and

secureenvironmentatayouth detention orlong-termfacilities.

• Somedutieswillinclude : FacilitateorCo-facilitateGroupsleadorparticipatein facility widePBISactivities(ifapplicable),work hoursto include Afternoon / evening / Holiday / Weekends, andconductweekendvisitation support.
• Conductsroundsdaily on theliving unit to ensureyouth needsareidentifiedand addressed.
• Provideseveningandweekendcoverageto provideforthesocial, emotional, and behavioralneedsofyouth.
• Performsordirectsadmissionandorientation ofyouth in accordancewith policy.
• TheprimaryfocusofthePT-JuvenileDetention Counselor isto deliverprogrammingto youths. The PT-JuvenileDetention Counselor willalsobetrainedin additionalareasto assisttheFT-JuvenileDetention Counselorwhen criticalneedispresent.
