The Department of History and Political Science at Perimeter College is committed to enlivening history and political science and wholly engaging our students in the learning process. To qualify to teach AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES, applicants MUST have:

A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

Teaching experience is preferred.

• Ability to teach AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES courses on the collegiate level
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology
