We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing Accounts Receivable Operations staff, ensuring the smooth functioning of accounts receivable operations, and maintaining standard operating procedures. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Assistant Director will serve as an advisor on overall programs, management, and operations of accounts receivable, prepare financial and operational reports, and provide support for staff in resolving complex issues related to accounts receivable systems and processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
*Provide guidance and leadership as required to university committees and business units, professional organizations, and state and federal entities. Prepare management reports, analyses, data, and information for administrative purposes. Establish and maintain productive work relationships with university departments.
*Establish and oversee performance objectives for team members to align with departmental goals and ensure successful achievement of objectives.
*Manage and implement processes related to refunds, payment arrangements, sponsored billing, mandatory health insurance, escheatment, and waiver administration.
*Audits and oversees daily transactions and performs reconciliation of Banner and accounts receivable transactions posted to the general ledger to ensure proper recording on the general ledger. Develop audit plans, methodologies, and risk assessments to guide audit processes effectively. Review and analyze financial documents, processes, and systems to identify discrepancies and potential areas of concern.
*Serve as a liaison in Student Financial Services, across campus, and within the larger community to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Experience with Banner or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
