The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Hourly Psychiatrist at Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta.

Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with a career interest and/or experience in public hospital psychiatry. In conjunction with a comprehensive treatment team the Psychiatrist addresses the clinical needs of Adult and Forensic consumers and provide emergent assessment and treatment to patients during off hours. Provides comprehensive medical services by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatment for individuals brought into Admissions. The psychiatrist will also review referrals received from outside facilities to screen for appropriateness for admission to the facility. Also provides medical care to inpatients when needed. The shift varies.
