Georgia's Families in Transition, LLC is Hiring a Remote Bilingual Behavioral Health Paraprofessional (Mental Health)

Georgia Families in Transition is looking for individuals to join our community-based mental health team!

The Paraprofessioanl position is focused on providing individual/family mental health services and skills training using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care for children, adolescents, and adults. GFIT strives toward a company culture based in collaboration, teamwork, honesty, and promotion of self-care and is looking for members of our mental health team who share this vision.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing individual/family mental health education using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care.
  • Timely documentation submission through use of company-provided note transcription service.
  • Commitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
  • Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
  • Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards
  • Travel is required for in-person sessions with clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a psychology/social work/human services-related discipline
  • Past experience with Sharenote preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)
  • State-mandated training: Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI (must be completed within the first 30 days of hire)
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis criteria
  • Willingness to learn new documentation and clinical skills
  • Receptivity to feedback/constructive criticism

Individuals who are prompt in communication, have collaborative personalities, and demonstrate a passion and knowledge for mental health and human services will be considered.

*Must be able/willing to provide both virtual and in-person services with a strong emphasis on in-person.

*Hourly pay based on degree level and experience in community-based settings.
