Qualifications


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives a company provided Semi Tractor and trailers.
  • Pull loads between three locations within one mile of each other.
  • Follows ALL DOT rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Fills out DOT log form, either electronic or paper log.
  • Pull shuttles from dock to dock and follow all GNC docking procedures.
  • Comply to all GNC policies and procedures.
  • Take an active role in safety, promote, and encourage safety practices.
  • Provide feedback to upper management for continuous improvement.
  • Keeps the tractor clean inside and out, by rotating with other drivers.
  • When not driving, work inside Skokie plants with the warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid class A CDL license required.
  • Minimum 6 months of driving experience.
  • Possess DOT medical card.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Teamwork
  • Flexible hours required.
  • Weekends are mandatory.
  • Capable to read and write English.
