Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for the Director of Communications. The Director of Communications is one of three teammates that work together on day-to-day communications operations. This individual leads the day-to-day operations but will also be a working manager, meaning the responsibilities of taking photos, video, etc. are distributed evenly amongst the Director, Deputy Director, and Communications Specialist. This person will play a pivotal role in planning, creating, and executing comprehensive communication strategies to promote the Prep School, Main Campus, Satellite Locations, President of the Institution, Corps of Cadets, and Advancement. They will oversee the planning and creation of visual, print, digital, and social media content, and ensure key messages align with GMC's mission, vision, and strategic plan. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Director is responsible for the creation and execution of all institutional publications materials and content creation. This individual researches, interviews, collects, and creates written and video content for use in the institution’s publications and digital platforms. This is a collaborative position as the individual will work with various departments to collect information and create assets the institution will use to brand, market, and promote itself, while also creating engaging content for external audiences to include alumni and donors.
