-You need to reside in the greater Atlanta Area, North of I-20, not further east than I-85, as far north as Dalton, or as far northeast than the Canton area. Anywhere between Douglasville and Cartersville is fine!

- Yearly pay of 75K-125K is performance based. We pay piecework. 75K is daily earning of 288.00 ( very easy to reach for a qualified, experienced tech ) and 125K is a 480.00 daily average. We do not pay hourly, you are hired on as an employee, not 1099.

You must have prior experience working as a garage repair technician (2 years residential and some commercial experience)

As a Garage door Tech at Georgia Garage, you will receive a company work truck, gas card, Company IPAD, Company branded apparel, as well as parts and opener inventory for your truck.

You will call your jobs with an eta, arrive and assess the call. You will build you quote onsite, thru parts database built into you dispatch software.

Responsibilities are but not limited too:

• Repair various types of garage doors and openers
• Offer different Products, buildings and applications are unique to each job ; the applicant must be able to choose best solutions for each situation as it pertains to safety, functionality and performance.
• The Technician will also troubleshoot, repair and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment
• Garage door installation
• This is a hybrid position that includes sales ! You must be knowledgeable about new doors, and proper measuring for headroom, openers, etc.
• Experience with installing/repairing residential and commercial garage doors and operators
• Must be able to lift between 75-100lbs, use power and hand tools and climb ladders
• Be a team player with strong work ethics and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively face to face with customers
• Ability to troubleshoot and think independently
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Requirements:

• Complete all general garage door maintenance and service calls.
• Establish customer rapport, presenting the right products and services.
• Ask proper questions to troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Explain replacement opportunities and create estimates for new doors when needed
• Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding goals.
• Be professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and stellar reviews.
• Work along side customer service and dispatch to ensure success of the team.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and correctly inventoried truck.
• Participate actively in all training exercises and morning meetings.
• Previous experience servicing/installing garage doors - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the residential garage door service
• Mechanical aptitude – knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public
• Clear communicator, charismatic, and comfortable with client interactions
• Team player; strong collaboration skills
• Be a self-starter with the ability to operate without direct supervision at all times.
• Ability to troubleshoot, think independently, and problem-solve
• Organized and methodical work ethic
• Basic math and legible handwriting
• Punctual and excellent attendance record
• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Residential Garage Door Installation/Repairs: Minimum 2 years (Required)
• Commercial experience preferred but not required.
• Sales experience preferred but not required
• Ongoing training will be provided in every arear of the industry

Physical demands for installation can be challenging, but for the most part not to bad. They can include frequent:
Standing, lifting of 50 lbs., Carrying 50 lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped garages, on ladders, and with power tools and perform manual labor in outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions
