GEORGETOWN PARK OF BROOKLYN CENTER - JOB DESCRIPTION

PROPERTY MANAGER

Permanent Full-Time Position

DESCRIPTION

The Jim-Bern Company is looking for an exceptional leader to join our team. As a Property Manager, you will lead a team of employees to take excellent care of our existing residents and attract new residents .

This job description sets forth the principal responsibilities of the Property Manager but does not detail every specific part of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the leasing process including touring prospective residents and preparing lease documents to control vacancy.
  • Supervise maintenance staff completion of work orders, vacancy turns.
  • Process deposits, billing and other accounting functions to maintain accurate financial data.
  • Complete monthly/weekly reports to upper management.
  • Monitor maintenance supplies, order/replace stock.
  • Maintain accurate resident data within our property management software.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION

  • Solid organization skills.
  • Property management experience.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge and experience with Yardi, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliability.
  • Property management software experience a strong plus.
  • Certified Residential Manager certification a strong plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to, walking the entire property, climbing 2 flights of stairs to show units, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds, and using the telephone and computer.
