DEPARTMENT: Georgetown County Library (Waccamaw Neck Branch Library)

GRADE: P/T (15 Hrs/Week)

SALARY: $10.00 per hour

FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY

Under direct supervision, this individual functions as a part-time custodian at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library. Responsibilities include maintaining the building in a clean and orderly condition and related duties as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires the ability to utilize cleaning agents and equipment to keep the interior of the building clean; to perform minor outside duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, etc.; to change filters and bulbs; and to do minor repairs. This employee must be physically able to exert 25 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force regularly. Work requires constant standing, walking, reaching, stooping, fingering, etc. The ability to drive a vehicle is also required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school graduate is preferred with ability to learn and apply new skills in areas of building and grounds maintenance or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge. Valid Driver’s License is required.
