I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary:
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is seeking a Director of Constituent Engagement and Annual Fund at the George Washington University. This position will support the School of Engineering and Applied Science (referred to as GW Engineering) and will report to the school-based Assistant Vice President for Development and Constituent Engagement.
The Director of Constituent Engagement and Annual Fund for GW Engineering will ensure fundraising initiatives linked to current-use support are successful by building a pipeline of new annual fund donors and creating innovative programs for retaining support. S/he will drive engagement strategies and stewardship activities for alumni, community stakeholders, and GWU families while working with volunteer leadership and faculty.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a donor-centric mindset, and a willingness to learn and use a variety of technology. This position is a hybrid work schedule with a set schedule of days in-person and days working from home each week.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree in a relevant area of study plus 4 years of relevant experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
