Sales Representative Reports To : Market Manager / Regional Sales Director Job Summary : Sales representatives are the face of George’s Distributing and the engine of our success.
Sales reps function as the primary point of contact between our organization and our customers. Our sales reps are industry experts and engage in consultative selling, helping our customers build the best businesses they can.
Sales reps own the entire sales cycle with their accounts. They provide best in class customer service and represent George’s in highly professional manner.
Job Functions and Responsibilities Sales and Customer Service (70% of Time ) Visit customers on a regular (typically weekly) basis, maintaining a strong working relationship, excellent customer service, and identifying new sales opportunities.
Prospects, qualifies, and opens new customers within existing territory. Conducts regular product demonstrations and represents our brands.
Resolves customer complaints. Assists accounts with resets, set creation, and other special projects. Plans and executes events with accounts as appropriate.
Merchandises as necessary and ensures merchandising and delivery standards are upheld in accounts. Product and Industry Knowledge (20% of Time) Stays up to date with in-depth product knowledge through self-study and provided company resources.
Participates in sales meetings, trainings, supplier visits, and events. Miscellaneous (10% of Time) Assists with customer logistics and deliveries as necessary.
Other tasks as deemed necessary by manager. KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
Ability to communicate clearly efficiently, and professionally with co-workers and customers with professionalism and respect.
Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record. Ability to reach, bend, push, pull, and frequently lift 40-50 pounds and up to 150 pounds.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and significant amounts of walking. Ability to work in inclement and variable weather.
