Project Management is time consuming, and it is essential that that there is a commitment that deadlines are critical. The job is demanding. It is assumed the job will be 50-55 hours per week. You will be responsible for tracking your hours and work with management to maintain a reasonable time commitment. You may schedule an additional day off, with prior approval, to offset the time demands of the job. Typically, additional days around Holiday's are taken.

First 90 Day Objectives:

  • Complete New Hire Orientation and Safety Training
  • Watch and Complete all Conest Training Videos.
  • Complete online Spectrum Training video and SOP's.
  • Become proficient in Spectrum.
  • Complete 4 hours online training with Conest
  • Become proficient with Conest.
  • Conest: Take off and input utilizing assemblies.
  • Be able to roll up and complete pricing via Bid Recap in Conest
  • Demonstrate full understanding of Take-off using Conest for Equipment, Devices, Cabling, Supports, etc.…
  • Complete file structure training with one of our Project Managers for all electronic documents
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of the file structure for Managing Projects
  • Complete OSHA 30 Training Course and Certification if previous training is more than three years ago.
  • Complete First Aid/CPR Training if previous training is more than two years ago.
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the GME Health & Safety Manual and Policies
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the GME Superintendent's Manual
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the GME Best Practices
  • Review and be knowledgeable of the GME 3-Week Look Ahead
  • Complete monthly project safety inspection
  • Complete Bluebeam University and begin utilization of Blue Beam as applicable.
  • Live and promote an IMMEDIATE culture of 100% PPE, ZERO Falls, ZERO Shocks, ZERO Lost Time Injuries
  • Maintain possession of a Current NEC Code Book or Handbook
  • Review assigned projects, if applicable, for status and implement recommended changes as required
  • Identify and communicate at least 2 additional benchmark goals for following Quarter review.
  • Additional objectives as assigned by Upper Management

90-180 Day Objectives:

  • Correct any deficiencies from the first 90 days.
  • Live and promote an IMMEDIATE culture of 100% PPE, ZERO Falls, ZERO Shocks, ZERO Lost Time Injuries
  • Manage project planning and implementation to ensure Labor Budgets are held within 2% of Estimated Costs
  • Maintain assigned Project budgets to within 2% of Estimated costs or better.
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction
  • Complete general electrical training/NEC course.
  • Assistant Superintendent is management of all GME Tools onsite. Ensure weekly tool inventories are completed and documented. All GME tools are, AT ALL TIMES, secure (Locked Up or In-Use).
  • Initiate and communicate with the Superintendent in preparation and submission of the GME Monthly Job Costing Review process.
  • Participate and be an active participant in 90% of GME Superintendent Training at the Office (Weekly and Monthly Meeting as scheduled)
  • Review and be knowledgeable in the use of the iPad for use with GME Site Management tools (Procore, Material Orders, 3WLA's, etc.)
  • Review and be knowledgeable in the assigned Project Submittals and Products for use.
  • Effectively influence the frequency of weekly material orders from -the field. (Goal is 1 material order per week)
  • Communicate and work with the Superintendent on implementing appropriate changes as required based on the Month End results.
  • Ensure Weekly Project Site Toolbox Talks meetings are completed and recorded from projects.
  • Ensure ALL JHA procedures are documented and recorded as required.
  • Attending GC weekly project site meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Learn and utilize the GME Project Management CPC/Month End/Job Cost System
  • Complete and submit Month End reporting for each assigned project, on time.
  • Complete Monthly Site Safety Reviews with all assigned projects and report accordingly. Remedy any items as required and document.
  • Identify a plan for Personal and Professional development, including at least 40 Hours of Training Annually and present to Ops Manager
  • Additional objectives as assigned by Upper Management
  • One new customer or renew existing customer relationship.
  • Identify and communicate at least 2 additional benchmark goals for following Quarter review.

180-270 Day Objectives:

  • Improve deficiencies from first 180 days.
  • Promote a 100% PPE, ZERO Falls, ZERO Shocks, ZERO Lost Time Injury Attitude at all GME sites and assigned projects.
  • Manage project planning and implementation to ensure Labor Budgets are held within 4% of Estimated Costs
  • Maintain assigned Project budgets to within 4% of Estimated costs or better.
  • All assigned projects have budgets completed within 14 days.
  • All change proposals are completed within 3-7 days of initial request.
  • All submittals are sent within 10 Days for any assigned projects.
  • All Long Lead materials are committed within 5 -10 days, POs with release/delivery schedules within 14 days.
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction
  • Aid and contribute, as requested, in Annual Performance Evaluations of GME employees (1-Week turn-around on Evaluations requests)
    Identify and begin to Mentor 1 to 2 Lead/Supervisors for advancement to Superintendent with the next 12-24 months. Share with Ops Manager
  • Identify goals related to your strengths and weaknesses and implement personal and professional development plans for each.
  • Review, participate and implement GME Best Practices for installation of all GME Systems
  • Additional objectives as assigned by Upper Management
  • Identify and cultivate one new customer or renew existing customer relationship.
  • Identify and communicate at least 2 additional benchmark goals for following Quarter review.

270-360 Day Objectives:

  • Improve deficiencies from first 270 days.
  • Read one book or study on Leadership or Management
  • Additional objectives as assigned by Upper Management
  • Identify and communicate benchmark goals for the following year with Quarterly benchmark reviews.
  • Identify and communicate Quarterly benchmark goals for all subordinates, to review them Quarterly by review.
  • One new customer or renew existing customer relationship.
