George L. Wilson & Co., the tri-state’s number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for a Warehouse Driver employee in our Pulaski, PA office. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969.
TITLE: Warehouse Driver - GLW
OVERVIEW:
Candidate should be energetic, personable and safe. They must enjoy meeting people and be deeply familiar with area nuances, such as back roads and traffic patterns. We provide the vehicle, but you should have a clean background check/driving record and driver’s license. The Driver must be able to lift packages and bend and twist, as necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver packages to customers on time
· Work in warehouse when needed
· Interact with customers in a professional manner
· Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery vehicle and notify manager of any issues
· Drive in inclement weather, such as light snow and rain
· Maintain paper logs to track routes and deliveries
· Get materials to customers in a timely fashion
· Load and unload materials safely and securely
· Transfer materials from one warehouse to another
· Pick up material at local vendors
· Obtain signatures on delivery and pick-ups
· Keep supervisor informed of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise
· Connect with delivery point of contact to alert delivery time, delivery restrictions and confirm location
· Act as a liaison to sales staff about project site needs and new projects in the field
· When not on deliveries, the driver will assist warehouse personnel in all functions and duties of the warehouse
· Maintain timesheet in ADP
COMPETENCIES:
· Minimum of one year driving experience within 100 mile radius of store
· Ability to drive a forklift or be forklift trained
· Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
· Strength to lift up to 51 pounds plus bending and twisting
· Understand road driving regulations for trucks
· Be familiar with hazardous material handling
· Work well independently
· Open and transparent communication
· Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps
· Have an ability to acquire a CDL license
· Willing to adhere to random drug testing
· Maintain neat appearance, always remain courteous and service-minded in dealing with customers
· General vehicle knowledge
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
HOURS: Monday - Friday shift from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
DEGREE: High school diploma
