JOB TITLE: Production Data Specialist
EMPLOYER: Georg Utz, Inc.

REPORTS TO: Senior Materials Planning & Logistics Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE: 3/20/2024
SummaryThe Production Data Specialist is a diverse role that works closely with Production and Controlling to ensure the accuracy of master data for product and production processes, availability of raw materials and review of production order data. This job requires strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain essential documentation to support our manufacturing processes and financial reporting.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Create, monitor, and update routings and bills of material, ensuring the accuracy of current processes and materials.
  • Responsible for data quality, completeness, and documentation control for items, routings, bills of material, and release of production orders.
  • Review material needs, check material inventories and delivery timing, and communicate with Production and Purchasing to ensure material is available for production order runs to hit the shipping timelines.
  • Analyze production orders for accuracy and completeness; work with the Finance Controller to close out orders and investigate discrepancies in data usage versus expectations.
  • Aid Controlling in data gathering and analysis to identify issues or areas for productivity and cost improvement.
  • Investigate master data issues, identifying resolutions or corrections to ensure accurate and complete data for raw material needs and Controller costing and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience report is required to perform the job.
  • One to three years of job-related experience is required.
  • A material planning background with a thorough understanding of planning principles.
  • Technical knowledge in material requirement planning and inventory control concepts and application.
  • Ability to focus and great attention to detail.
  • Experienced in Excel and basic data analytics.
  • Able to communicate cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-driven to achieve goals.
Experience
  • Knowledgeable in ERP systems (Microsoft Navision, SAP, Oracle or others)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fact-driven approach.
