GEON Performance Solutions is Hiring a Sourcing Manager Near Westlake, OH
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Apply Sourcing methodologies, practices and process that create value for assigned raw material categories including achieving year over year cost reductions and working capital improvements targets.
- Develop supplier strategies, manage and execute short and long term supplier management initiatives.
- Timely communication of raw material pricing trends and market updates affecting supply.
- Effectively manage the key suppliers via risk mitigation, scorecards and KPI’s.
- Work with supplier base to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
- Integrate strategic procurement activities with business unit representatives where required.
- Other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Material Science, or related technical field of study
- 3 years of progressive supply chain, engineering, operations, or project management experience
- Strategic Sourcing experience in petrochemical or plastics industry
- Preferred experience with Pigments, TiO2, carbon black, color concentrates, NBR, TPU, HDPE, LDPE, ABS,
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies/tools preferred, and demonstrating Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is highly desirable.
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA)
- Green Belt Certification in Lean Six-Sigma or similar certifications
