Geomet Recycling LLC is Hiring a Roll Off Driver (FT) Near Garland, TX
Summary/Objective
The Roll-off driver will primarily assist with picking up and delivery of scrap material from local customers as assigned. As needed, the Roll-off driver will assist with the staging of trailers at docks and obtaining information from third party freight carriers entering the property for scrap metal deliveries and pick up of outbound loads.
- Operate company owned vehicle for the delivery and pick-up of scrap material.
- Completes daily pre-shift/pre-trip inspection of truck.
- Completes daily pre-shift/pre-trip inspection of yard mule if operating yard mule.
- Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Maintains all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
- Receives inbound loads and communicates information to scale operator.
- Stages trailers at docks as directed by scale operator as needed.
- Assists with inventory of trailers at end of each business day detailing loaded or empty as needed.
- Assist with housekeeping of parking lot, dock spaces and truck scale area as needed.
- Other projects/tasks as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively; listen to and follow instructions; to provide relevant and timely information to management, co-workers and customers
- Exhibits time management skills
- Ability to problem solve and analyze issues
- Pays attention to detail
- Exhibits safety in work habits and a positive attitude
- Responsiveness in completing job tasks in a timely manner
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1-2 years’ experience as a CDL Roll-off driver
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain Active Class A or B CDL license
