Staff Geologist or Environmental Scientist – Puget Sound (Full Time, Regular)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a broad range of environmental site assessment and cleanup projects
• Responsible for soil and groundwater sampling and data collection
• Support key clients in response to emergency environmental cleanup actions in the Puget Sound area.
• Responsible for field exploration and observation for environmental projects, including preparation of Phase I and Phase II ESAs, soil and ground water sampling and data analysis
• Responsible for monitoring remedial projects
• Assists in documenting field conditions including contractor cleanup activities, data analysis and writing field reports

Qualifications

• B.S. in Geology or Environmental Science or a related field required. M.S. preferred
• 1-2 years of related environmental field experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong field orientation and proven problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and field work.
• Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Completion of 40 hour OSHA training preferred.
