We’re looking for a DevOps engineer who will be an integral part of our digital / web solution team and play a crucial role in establishing and optimizing our development and deployment pipelines, managing our cloud infrastructure, and implementing best practices for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). You will collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering team to streamline workflows, improve system performance, and ensure the stability and security of our production environment. What You Will Do Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Manage and scale our cloud infrastructure, along with ensuring new technologies are adequately tested and integrated with existing services. Monitor system performance, including the triage of alerts and system anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, along with continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management. Support legacy client applications including assisting in keeping servers and services up to date with security patches, certificate updates and hotfixes. Create and maintain documentation of systems and environments. Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and resolve unplanned service outages. Support backup and disaster recovery/replication platforms across on-premises and cloud, performing routine resilience drills. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability. Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to ensure product goals are met. Participate in project planning and routine sprint work and meetings. Additional tasks as required. Our top candidate will have strong social and communication skills, a collaborative attitude and demonstrate strong technical acumen. 7 years of experience as DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or MIS preferred Proficiency with the following: Git and GitLab/Azure DevOps pipelines Ubuntu / CentOS Linux Server Nginx, Tomcat, Node JS, and MongoDB administration Ansible, Terraform Docker, Kubernetes Cloud Platforms (AWS and Azure) VMware vSphere Python, C#, .net PowerShell Working knowledge of databases and SQL Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts Proven understanding of public cloud hosting Ability to communicate trade-offs and interact with stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical skills coupled with technical creativity and vision Strong organizational and project management skills Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
