We are looking for a Visualization Leader to join the NW Region Design Technology Team. This is a great opportunity for a visualization expert who is interested in working in a highly collaborative and creative environment. As a Visualization Leader, you are the technology heartbeat of the project(s) you are on. A critical multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space enabling the team(s) you support and aligning with project and client priorities/requirements. Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital workflows/platforms creation and implementation in partnership with your fellow project members and in collaboration with the Regional Design Technology Team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients. Translating what a Designer is trying to communicate to the client with computer generated images, animations, virtual reality, and augmented reality. The artist needs to be able to communicate well, as they will be working with multiple teams across the NW Region. The artist’s ability to produce quality work within the given time frame will be key as well as the flexibility to meet changing priorities. What You Will Do Collaborate to the Visualization Platforms strategy for the region. Development, implementation and support of visualization tools and framework, including a robust and agile virtual reality / augmented reality strategy. Work closely with design teams to interpret their designs intent into compelling, high quality, computer generated images Modeling/Texturing/Lighting/Cameras/Rendering/Post-Production for architectural and interior design scenes. Creative problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize 3D scenes for production rendering pipeline. Operate as the lead 3D artist on stills, animation, and real-time projects. Ability to execute high quality images under tight deadlines without sacrificing artistry or attention to detail. Elevate our visualization pipeline through the exploration of new tools and technologies. Collaborate with Regional Design Technology Director on requirements and priorities. Research emerging technologies and define use-cases for implementation on projects. Coordinate with Design Directors and Project Management on visualization deliverables and help manage the project process from concept through realization Educate design teams on best practices, methods, and new technologies Integrate visual thinking as part of our design teams story-telling Establish cross platforms integration and interoperability from concept to delivery: Digital Fluency Partner with regional leadership to develop strategy for visual communication and engagement Partner and collaborate with all DT peers at the studio, office, region and firm levels Identify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projects Research innovative solutions and co-create with partners continuously in support of projects Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Highly skilled artistically, Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or visual arts equivalent preferred. Expert in 3D Studio Max, Vray, and the Adobe Suite; After Effects and Premier Pro are a plus Knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD/Rhino/Sketchup/Enscape/Twinmotion Experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity Strong foundation of visual storytelling, look development, lighting/camera composition Knowledge of distributed rendering, batch rendering, and render farm job management. i.e. Deadline, Chaos Cloud Experience with multi-pass compositing and linear workflow Demonstrates ability to consistently meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver a high-quality product Works well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, as well as individually based on the project needs Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management skills Experience working in Architecture or related industries, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones and deliverables Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teams *This is not a remote position. The successful candidate is expected to be in the office. * **The base salary range will be estimated between $110,000 - $130,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
