GenServe is Hiring a Parts Manager Near Brook, NJ

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safe, lean, orderly, and clean operation of the parts warehouse, maintaining a conducive environment for efficient workflow.
  • Timely and accurate management of parts ordering and inventory, including consumable items such as oil, fuel and air filters, lubricants, coolants, batteries, as well as shop and office supplies.
  • Leading parts kitting efforts for all scheduled service jobs to optimize technician productivity and service quality.
  • Managing the registration, insurance, inspections, and maintenance for the branch’s service vehicle fleet, approximately 50 vehicles.
  • Collaborating closely with Service Writers to identify and order quoted repair parts, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Overseeing the parts receiving process and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination between service technicians and office teams to ensure availability of required parts, supplies, and materials for daily operations.
  • Managing the fluids (oil, coolant, fuel) testing process to maintain equipment integrity and performance.
  • Leading the warranty claims process to maximize returns and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to adapt to new software systems such as SalesForce and Sage 100.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize parts diagrams, technical specifications, and supplier websites efficiently.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, adept at liaising with internal and external stakeholders including technicians, service writers, accounts payable, and counterparts from other branches.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain efficient inventory management and workflow optimization.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of standby generators and their components.
  • Working knowledge of diesel and natural gas engines.
  • Familiarity with 5s/Lean principles for process optimization and waste reduction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
