Security Operator - Weekly Pay

$16 / hr - Spartanburg, SC

2nd Shift - Wednesday - Sunday

Responsibilities :

• Alarm monitoring dispatching, dispositioning and archiving security and fire alarms; controlling and directing daily routine activities for security and fire personnel and affect command / control procedures for emergencies.
• Monitoring and operating Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), video systems, alarm receiving equipment and integrated access control systems.
• Operates both security and fire alarm monitoring systems, operating / monitoring communications equipment, logging shift activities, monitoring surveillance and intrusion monitors, alarms and camera systems, processing required reports and making appropriate notifications.
• Uses communication equipment to include, but not limited to, two-way radio communications, telephone systems, security phone, and computer equipment.
• Makes emergency response notifications and dispatches for all site emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
• May include after-hours dispatching of facilities personnel and contractors responsible for communication / video technology.
• Maintains all logs, reviewing and writing reports for incidents and emergencies utilizing a Significant Events Log during assigned shift.
• Monitor various news outlets and intelligence software for crisis / weather / emergencies and notify proper personnel.
• Monitor corporate travel

Qualifications :

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must have and maintain a Security Officer certification for the state in which assigned.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must have customer service experience.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer apps.
• 1-2 years of security or security related work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Decision making skills.
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high stress periods.
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.
