Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout their surgical experience.

Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia administration during surgery
Provide post-operative care, including wound dressing changes, pain management, and patient education
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps or botulinum toxin treatments as required
Utilize electronic health record systems (such as Athenahealth) to document patient information accurately
Coordinate discharge planning and provide appropriate referrals for continued care, such as assisted living or home healthcare services

Qualifications:
valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
A Minimum of 1 years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures
proficient in ostomy care and wound management techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
