The Kitchen Prep teammate is crucial to the back-of-house team and is responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen operation including the setup, breakdown, stocking, and preparation of all food items. The Kitchen Prep teammate is part of the back-of-house team and can be cross-trained as a Griller and/or Dishwasher. The back of house team is responsible for the overall kitchen operation including food prep, the setup, and maintenance of the Market Area. The Kitchen Prep teammate assists fellow teammates to ensure overall guest satisfaction under the supervision of the management team.
Skills, Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements:
  • Time & Attendance 5 minutes before your scheduled shift, in uniform with an apron and any required materials needed for a successful shift.
  • Adhere to all uniform requirements; maintain a clean and professional appearance, well-groomed.
  • Attend daily shift meetings and be knowledgeable of any upcoming specials, events, menu changes, weekly focuses, etc. as dictated by the management team.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools.
  • Communicate with front and back-of-house teammates and management.
  • Food safety ensures all product is being received, stored, rotated, and labeled properly.
  • Follow all relevant safety policies and procedures, including filling out forms required by Genghis Grill and the Health Department.
  • Follow all recipes, specifications, build charts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist management team with maintaining and updating accurate food purchasing pars.
  • Responsible for following and executing daily Prep Sheets.
  • Maintain food storage areas in a cleaned and organized manner.
  • Complete all daily, weekly, and running side work and any additional projects or responsibilities as given by the management team.
  • Perform general physical activities including extended use of your arms, legs, and body; may include climbing, lifting up to 50lbs, balancing, moving, and bending.
  • Ability to remain active and on your feet throughout the duration of your shift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Any additional certificate that may be required in the employers' city, state, county, etc.
