Job Description
Primary Objectives of Position:
GENEX Cooperative is seeking an Assistant Controller in Shawano, WI to assist management in the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting to both internal and external users and maintain accounting processes and data, meeting departmental guidelines and deadlines.
Major Areas of Accountability:

• Prepare financial analysis reports, generate journal entries (requires judgment and analysis), and assist in month-end close, monthly account reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.
• Inventory Analysis-including Inventory turn report development and systematic use.
• Assist in month-end close, monthly Inventory account reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain Sales tax software settings, develop program to maximize use and minimize internal processing.
• Uses accounting software and maintain records and ensure compliance for Sales tax reporting.
• Work in close contact with the business (in country and with our foreign subsidiaries) to discuss results and make, and execute, plans to further improve sales and results.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules and other documentation.
• Provide leadership and coaching that promotes the development of all finance staff and ensures the success of these roles.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a Finance related field and 4 years of equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
• Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, BI and Various ERP systems
• Willingness to develop and grow both personally and professionally.
• Occasional travel will be required
