Research Associate - BiochemistryPharmOptima, a member of Genesis Global Group, has an immediate opening for a Research Associate - Biochemistry. PharmOptima is a proven provider of ADME/PK, Bioanalysis, and Biochemistry research services to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. SPECIFIC JOB RELATED DUTIES: Under direct supervision, performs standard research assignments involving a series of related operations.Performs a variety of routine and non-routine research assignments and experiments, specifically to perform experiments in vitro.Prepares biological assays and conducts basic quantitative and qualitative analysis.Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected.Assists in the compilation and tabulation of data and provides preliminary analysis.Assembles, calibrates, operates and makes minor modifications to a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines.Adheres to internal controls established for department.Orders and maintains inventoriesShipping and receiving (including sample receipt)Performs related duties as required. PREFERRED SKILL/COMPETENCY: Biological AnalysisQuantitative AnalysisQualitative AnalysisTabulation of DataEquipment CalibrationStandard Laboratory Equipment QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required. Workplace Conditions: Workplace Environment Conditions Office and laboratory environment Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
