Genesis10 is seeking a ServiceNow Software Developer for a contract with our client in Denver, CO. 100% Remote.

Job Description:
Follows company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs. Assists in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents to customize software to meet application requirements. Reviews functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback. Collaborates with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency. Participates in architecture, design and code reviews. . Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation. Analyzes systems specifications and designs, develops, modifies, and installs highly complex and customized software. Actively participate in the escalation of live errors and service problems to limit downtime and resolve problems. Recognize and solve inconsistencies in the detailed technical specifications and propose changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• This will be a ServiceNow developer role working on module enhancements, not specific to any one module. This is an operations-based role on a smaller development team. There will be internal customer/stakeholder interaction along with the work that's being developed. This resource should understand and be able to communicate user acceptance criteria; be able to relay to the business the consequences of changes.
• This is an agile team which means that the work is done in two-week sprints. This resource will be part of Sprint planning sessions, Retros. There are also daily stand ups. Based on the workload that is assigned, doing development work, communicating with stakeholders when things are ready for testing and gathering approvals is what the typical day might look like.
• What is the size of the group this position will be supporting? Who are some of the key players this person will be working with? 9 total, 1 Business Analyst, 2 in service mapping area; the rest of the team are developers.
• Will this resource support internal (business), or external customers?
• Internal/business customers only. There will be a group of 15-20 process owners who work with things like incident change management, problem management, etc. who then work with stakeholders to try to improve that user experience. This resource, again, will work closely with the process owners. In addition, as mentioned above, this resource will be working/communicating with the business/stakeholders. Team works heavily with them on enhancement requests or development of modules to support business needs and that way. That process team is probably the largest place that we have that engagement.
• Describe work environment / team culture (supportive/collaborative, teamwork, or individual contributor)? Both - there's collaboration with the completion of different development phases but it is an individual contributor in terms of the stuff that they're developing and the enhancements that they're rolling out. When you get to that testing and completion phase, you work together, operations level interaction, but it is it is an individual contributor role in terms of head down and hands on the keyboard building a solution type work.

Required Basic Qualifications:

• Scripting experience would be beneficial - JAVA.
• Experience working in Jira, navigation of sprint boards, experience in an agile environment.

Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay rate $
