DescriptionNew Journey is currently seeking a qualified candidate who will receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse or storage yard for our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Direct Material Handlers in overseeing daily inbounds, outbounds, interlocation transfers, and other warehousing activities
- Lead coordination efforts with stakeholders on inventory requests, ensuring on-time fulfillment, coordinating on-order packages, overseeing large inbound/outbound shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation of all inventory movement
- Key contributor in identifying areas for improvement and help facilitate improvements
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the inventory warehouse storage area, ensuring optimal space utilization and organization
- Be the clear lead to the Material Handlers, as well as the go-to person for questions, updates on day-to-day activities, and resolutions for the Inventory Analyst and Inventory Manager
- Material handling of Hardware including but not limited to: shipping, receiving, labeling, inspection, barcoding, spreadsheet tracking, RMA requests, disposing, and general fulfillment tasks
- Conduct inventory counts, mitigate inventory variance risk and maintain system accuracy
- Work with key stakeholders to understand special fulfillment needs and requirements
- Partake in space planning for storage and incoming orders
- Work with Inventory Management team to receive parts, inspect, maintain record, and alert appropriate stakeholders when necessary
- Conduct general fulfillment tasks such as preparing goods for shipment and ensuring packaging requirements are met
- Work with Mailroom to ship parts as needed including: RMA requests, location transfer requests, and others
- Order materials as needed
- Ensure all inventory movement is captured systematically, keeping with documentation and record keeping procedures
- Assist with Inventory Management team to implement physical space buildout
- General aid in material handling tasks
- This position will require sitting and using a laptop and monitor for extended periods of time.
- This position will also require using a keyboard for data entry for extended periods of time. Ergonomic support can be provided upon request.
- You may occasionally need to lift items up to 50 pounds or so. Items weighing more than 50 pounds should be lifted as a group not individually.
- Prioritize safety and maintain a safety-first mindset, while following all safe work practices and policies
- Observe all safety standards. Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Follow operating instructions, use PPE as required, and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ability to operate computer-based programs/spreadsheets
- Basic understanding of material flow from incoming receipts to inspection to end user
- Operate warehouse equipment, including but not limited to a forklift, pallet jack, pallet stacker, etc. Training and certification will be provided.
- Stand for up to 30 minutes to an hour at a time during an 8-hour shift
- Walking up to 30 minutes to an hour at a time during an 8-hour shift
- Regularly perform physical work including, but not limited to, squatting, stooping/bending, lifting, and moving/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use a laptop for up to eight hours per shift
- Ability to give and receive clear, prompt, understandable verbal and written communication
- High attention to detail
- Successfully complete a background check, drug screen, and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check

- 40 hours per week, 8.5-hour shifts
- You may be required to work nights and/or weekends
- You may be required to work at different locations
