Summary
Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.

Essential Duties

• Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of body, structural, mechanical or interior damage.
• Estimates cost of labor and parts to return vehicle to pre-loss condition.
• Work with customer and insurance company to come to agreed price to repair vehicle.
• Obtain all required signatures and authorization to perform repairs.
• Keep customers updated on status of repair throughout the process.
• Perform quality control inspections throughout repair process.
• Upon completion and prior to delivery review final invoice to assure all repairs were completed and invoice is accurate.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications required for this position include:

• Strong Customer Service skills and a willingness to learn
• Experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
• A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to multitask
• Valid state of Michigan driver’s license
• Must pass drug screen and background check

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
