Geneseo Veterinary Care is Hiring an Associate Veterinarian Near Geneseo, NY

If you are looking to practice independently, using progressive medicine and state of the art equipment in a brand new facility, then you have found the right fit! We are an Urgent Care/Emergency veterinary practice that also provides excellent medical care for our existing patient base. We thrive in a busy atmosphere when no two days ever look the same. The GVC team is fear free certified committed to "gentle medicine". We enjoy educating clients how to best care for their pets. Our practice services include: smalls animals, exotics, surgery, dentistry, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laser therapy. Experience is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply! We love to mentor.

Veterinarian Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
  • Determines the nature of disease or injury by examining pets.
  • Restores animal health by treating animals surgically or medically.
  • Prevents rabies, lyme disease, distemper, leptospirosis, bartonella, and other disorders by testing animals, providing inoculations and preventative care.
  • Promotes health of animals by advising animal owners about preventative care, sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
  • Documents actions by completing and updating forms, reports, and animal records and reporting diseases to public health officials if necessary.
  • Enhances clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
