Generator Supercenter is Hiring a Permit Specialist Near Fort Myers, FL

Permit Coordinator:

We are seeking another seasoned (experienced) full-time Permit Coordinator to join our rapidly growing and fun team! The permit specialist will work closely with the sales and operations teams to gather, prepare and submit all required documentation to various municipalities. They will closely monitor the submission; provide status updates and resolve any issues or questions the permit reviewer may have. This position is an onsite position.

In this role you would:

  • Use communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills to gather and compile all required information and documentation used to complete the permit application file.
  • Create a diagram over the site plan which specifies where we will be installing the equipment on the customer's property. To do this, you will either need to know how to use Microsoft Visio diagram drawing software or be capable of learning it.
  • Submit error free application files to various cities, track their progress status, respond to questions, and keep all parties up to date on the status of permit applications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn how to read and understand plot plans/property surveys.
  • Ability to learn how to use Vizio to draw a basic diagram which shows where our equipment will be placed on the plot plan / property survey.
  • Ability to learn how to submit information on a variety of different city web-based portals.
  • Basic to Intermediate Excel skills

Experience:

  • Previous permitting experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
