Generations is Hiring a Staffing Coordinator Near Walla Walla, WA

The Staffing Coordinator Wheatland Village is responsible for scheduling care staff in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or Post-Acute Care. Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained for the delivery of care services. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others. 

SCOPE OF JOB TASKS:

  • Ensure compliance of budgeted hours. Responsible for all staff call-ins. (Company phone provided.) Will be required to work shifts when short-staffed.
  • Assist with employment inquiries, screening, reference checks, interviews, etc. May be asked to assist with interviews and/or scheduling interviews.
  • Create and maintain a process for employees to request off time.
  • Create a schedule consistent with needs and request off time.
  • Tracking and communicating with employees of certification renewals.
  • May assist with assigning and tracking annual training in the LMS system for care staff.
  • Assist management with projects about staffing and scheduling.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required

Experience:

  • One (1) year of relevant experience as a scheduler in a senior living or healthcare environment.
  • Experience as a caregiver or CNA preferred. 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to all employees face to face each shift you are working.
  • Assist with removing obstacles that are hindering staff performance.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn WordPerfect and Microsoft Excel; ability to use a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and employees.
  • Ability to maintain and organize workspace and work product.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Physical demands:

Workday - 8 hours

Stands - Occasional

Sits - often, up to 8 hours

Walks - often, short distances

Bends - often

Stairs - occasional, but not required

Climbs - seldom

Kneels - occasional

Lifts - seldom 20 lbs.

Repetitive hand/foot - occasional (typing)

Supervision:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Working Conditions: 

  • In some cases, you may also be exposed to various infectious diseases
  • May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
